Children's work at Riverside is coordinated by Anne Roche and Kirsty McLachlan who
between them have many years' experience working
with children and overseeing children's work. Our desire is to provide a safe, well-equipped and
caring environment in which to bring our children up in the knowledge
of the word of God and of the living love of Christ in their lives.
On Sunday mornings Children’s Church meets during the 9.30 am service, with children leaving the main
service after about 15 minutes to follow an exciting programme of activities in their groups. Our children’s groups are
led
by fully trained children’s
workers and we operate a strict child protection policy in all aspects of
children’s work at the church.

Once a month there are Family Services, from 9.30 – 10.30, where the majority of the children stay
with their families for the whole service (groups are still provided for ages 0-3).
During the week there are children’s small groups for ages 8 – 11 years which meet early on a midweek
evening. The aim of these groups is to
help the children understand more about their faith, and give them a good
foundation in their relationship with God before they move into the challenging
environment of secondary school. |
