Introducing the club

Real Riverside Football Club was formed on the 12th July 2003 by members of Riverside Church

The Club currently has two adult teams which play on Saturday afternoons in the Birmingham Amateur Football Association League- the ‘A’ team play in Division 3, whilst the ‘B’ team play in Division 5.

The football club is for adult players with all abilities aged 16 and upwards, and welcomes players from Christian, non-faith, and other faith backgrounds. The Club aims to give players the chance to express their God-given talents, develop as players and individuals as well as offer them the opportunity to explore the Christian faith.

RRFC are proud to have won ‘Team of the Year’ award in our first season (2003-2004) and the ‘Eric Cash’ sportsmanship trophy for the season 2008-2009, which was awarded to the club with the best disciplinary record out of 140 teams in all 10 divisions. RRFC is committed to development of grass-roots community football and in the past 7 years we have helped 15 of our players to gain FA approved Coaching Qualifications. In July 2010 Real Riverside became an FA Charter Standard Club.
