Farewell to the 2009-2010 RSPA Student team

This year’s RSPA team performed their final production Outside the Box last Friday and Saturday at the new MAC.

The show included two original short plays which the students had written and directed and a performance of the grant funded production Popcorn and Lies exploring the issues of body image and eating disorders. The show was a fitting dramatic finale to a phenomenal year, packed with challenge, tours, mission and drama projects of all sizes.

Though this year’s team were small in number, their commitment and service has been outstanding. In Riverside, the students have regularly supported React drama group and the Friday youth groups. They have performed in schools tours around Birmingham, in Brighton and Hove and journeyed to Poland to perform in schools, churches and communities. They have taken assemblies, facilitated drama workshops and delivered talks. As a result, each member of the team has grown in confidence, developed their talents and matured in their faith, which is our greatest desire for an RSPA team.
