“Cheap and Cheerful?”

The latest show from RSPA student team, explores the issues behind the fashion industry and asks at what cost are the high-street labels selling their image of beauty. The show, which has been devised by the team based on real research, has been touring around local secondary schools in Birmingham from the 28th February – 11th March, helping to engage young people with the issues of fair-trade fashion and justice in a fun, dynamic and creative way. A further tour, outside of Birmingham is also taking place at the end of March. The performance has been well received by school pupils. They’ve been given the opportunity to make a difference in the shops they get their clothes from, by petitioning for better working conditions for the people who make the clothes.

For your chance to see an extended version of the show come along to the Midlands Art Centre on Friday 25th or Saturday 26th March @ 7.30pm. Tickets cost £6 for adults and £5 for concessions, so book now by calling the MAC box office on 0121 446 3232 or visit www.macarts.org.uk.
