“You’re fired!” up and getting ready…

Saturday 7th May saw the premier of a new comedy show written by Claire Boot “The Apprentish!” The show told the story of Dame Elaine Sweetener and her quest to find her next apprentish, chosen by completing a series of challenges…

After 6 months of planning, filming, rehearsals and last minute song learning, the show was an amazing success on many levels. The show raised £1900 for Mission:Uganda, it showcased the amazing talents and gifts that young people within Miff and Roc have, and it helped to forge an amazing sense of community from all involved which is one of the key characteristics of the youth groups. I was so proud of everyone involved and everyone who played a part to make it all happen.

Mission:Uganda 2011 is fast approaching! We are taking a group of 15 students out to Kampala to once again work in Karios school and the local community. We have two more events coming up to help with the fundraising process – a barn dance (see flyer this week), and on Friday 1st July, Riverside House, 7.30pm -9pm, you are also invited to Matt Pritchard’s new show “In Pursuit of Miss Adventure”. Featuring Matt’s now legendary use of storytelling, magic and visuals, it will once again be a fantastic evening, Adults £5, concessions £4.

We are honestly blown away by how faithful God has been during this fundraising process and we wanted to say a massive “Thank-you” to all of you for your prayers and support. We value it immensely! Hope to see you at our next events.
