Ashes to Oaks Women’s Conference 2010

8/9 October 2010 – “Purpose & Passion”

A lovely meal on Friday night was enhanced with awe inspiring testimonies from Sally Livingstone and Leanne, evidencing God’s amazing interventions in the lives of the vulnerable, addicts and offenders.

On Saturday we enjoyed personal reflections, worship, biblical truths, meditation, prayer, excellent speakers, drama, and more.  We revelled in the amazing arts/crafts exhibition which so beautifully reflected the passions of our creative women.  We shared our stories, chatted, and enjoyed wonderful food (and cakes!) Individuals identified God’s unique purpose for them, based upon our own SHAPE (spiritual gifts, passions, abilities, personality and experiences).  Regrettably space does not allow us to include them all:

“Serving God in inclusive community” “Revealing truth, reconciling lives to God’s best” “Using creativity to help disadvantaged people” “Bringing light through laughter” “Reach the lost and hurting through the healing truth of God”  “Helping people with disabilities to be themselves and to love themselves for who they are in God’s eyes”  “Loving the unlovable through song” “Helping and serving parents and children”

Thank you to everyone who helped, all who attended, and for the affirming and helpful feedback on the conference.
