Healing on the Streets – Moseley Team

Every fourth Saturday of the month the Moseley team set up the healing banner outside Boots pharmacy at the crossroads in the heart of Moseley.

Many of those who take up our offer of prayer display an awareness of their spirituality but in a way that displays confused influences and philosophies. Also many carry heavy burdens of concerns over ill health and broken relationships either for themselves or for their friends or family.

Our aim is to bless each person and show them that God cares and loves them and as we pray- we see them go away calmer and more peaceful and we encourage them to talk to God themselves. We have been particularly encouraged by the fact that each week at least one member of the team comes with specific pictures of those we will encounter.

We are learning to seek Gods perspective on what is happening and we believe passionately that God is present as we engage with those on the streets. We have been encouraged after a week of prayer walking in January when we experienced a greater breakthrough in the hearts and minds of those we spoke to and prayed for. We don’t rely on our own strength but need to be continually relying on God – a truth that is so much easier to understand when you allow God to take you out of your comfort zone as the team do every month.

Moseley is a really tough area spiritually so please continue to pray for God’s Kingdom break through the barriers and false-belief that continue to pervade there.

We are always looking for new people who can spare as little as one hour each month or can stay for several hours, so do come along to see what is happening.
