Pray like a child…

27 I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of him.
28 So now I give him to the Lord. For his whole life he shall be given over to
the Lord.’
And he worshipped the Lord there.

1 Samuel 27:28

Last Sunday children aged 5-11 met to hear Andy Mackie explain the vision for growth for the church, to them. They had all sorts of ideas…

“It is great that more people will come and that new people will become Christians…”

“We want to meet new people and make new friends.”

“We hope we can have new equipment, more biscuits, a bigger room and a swimming pool!”

“It will be good not having to drive or walk as far to church!”

For most of them, being in the children’s groups with their friends is what is important to them, and they have some concerns and questions over what that will look like in the future.

“Dear Lord Jesus, I pray groups stay. Amen”

“Dear God, please help us to find the right place to put church. We pray that this new church will help more people to come closer to you. Amen.”

A new service in a new location means lots of change—affecting group sizes, new ways to serve, new challenges, but more importantly, new faces and fresh opportunities to introduce others to the God who changes lives… and plenty of more biscuits.
