Sunday Night Live

‘Life is rather like a tin of sardines….we are all looking for the key’ Alan Bennett

Sunday Night Live was launched on October 3rd 2010…

At 7.30pm at Queensbridge, the lights came down in the auditorium and as the lights came up on the stage, an hour and a quarter quickly passed with the audience gripped by this dynamic theatre style event. An acappella version of Nina Simone’s ‘Feeling Good…’ grabbed the audience’s attention and started an evening of live contemporary music backed by visuals, quotes from films and plays, fast moving comedy, incredible illusions, a dramatic monologue and a clip from Michael Mcintyre’s BBC comedy road show combined with real life stories and short talks. The evening explored issues of life that affect us at every age (this event looked at identity and the question of where we get our security from) in an accessible and thought provoking way.

Audience feedback: ‘Worth leaving the TV for’ ‘I’m bringing friends to the next one’ ‘I’ll try and bring a bus load’ ‘Amazing evening – the standard of the event was exceptional’ ‘Don’t miss it!’

Canapés and drinks in the foyer with atmospheric lighting and soulful music meant that people could stay around and chat afterwards.

Sunday Night Live is hitting the stage again on November 21st and 28th 2010 with two brand new theatre style events. An ideal opportunity to invite family and friends to an excellent entertaining and thought provoking night out. Don’t miss it!
