Triumphant Finale to drama year

This year’s student team finished their drama course with two triumphant performances of Misplaced at the Midland Arts Centre, Edgbaston on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd June. Playing to near full houses, the team showcased a real variety in their individual written and directed pieces, which ranged from a dark fairy-tale, to comedy, to an individual story of overcoming adversity, to a court room drama. The audience were full of praise for the performances; one audience member said: “The team showed a real diversity in their pieces. It was an energetic performance, very enjoyable!”

This finale was an opportunity to look back on a really busy, challenging and successful year. We have performed three major productions, as well as numerous assemblies and presentations in around 30 local Birmingham primary and secondary schools, renewing friendships and forming new partnerships with a number of new schools. We have also toured nationally in Brighton, Exeter and Leicester and formed new partnerships with schools and churches there.

We pray that Cherrelle, Matt and George have a good break on holiday and we look forward to seeing Matt and George again in September.
