WANTED: Carols

People are much more open to attending church at Christmas – often an invitation is all they need. With such a variety of carol services taking place across the city, there’s no excuse not to invite friends and family along to something this year.

Previous years have seen queues form outside Birmingham Cathedral, leading ChaplaincyPlus to double their Carol Services for a second year running. “It’s not often that you see people queuing for church, but the demand has increased.” said Chris Dinsdale, Director of ChaplaincyPlus. “Carols and mince pies will make a wonderful start to the Christmas season, and its true importance: love and salvation for all.”

‘Carols for the Business Community’ will take place on Tuesday 18th December at 5.45pm, followed by ‘Lunchtime Carols for the Business Community’ on Wednesday 19th December at 1.05pm. The services will last around 45 minutes, with Nick Cuthbert giving this year’s talk.

Looking for something for all the family? Once again Riverside has the exciting opportunity in partnering with ‘Carols in the City’, Birmingham’s biggest open air carol service. This Saturday, Riverside’s Christmas choir joins other church choirs from across the city for open air carols at 4:30pm, making it an event not to be missed.

After something a bit more local? Celebrate with us at Riverside with traditional carols led by our amazing choir, a short Christmas talk and festive refreshments, at either of two identical carol services (6:30pm & 8:15pm) on Sunday 16th December, Queensbridge School.

So, who are you inviting?
