Back to Vancouver – Canada

Very soon we say farewell to Simon and Zoe Ayrton. “Outlook” asked some pertinent questions amidst their preparations to depart…

Where are you going?

We are off to Vancouver in Canada initially. After some extra training for a few months we will travel up to Whitehorse, Yukon, in Northern Canada where Simon will be taking a job as a worship pastor.

Why?

The simple & short answer is because this is what we feel God is leading us to do. It’s come about through the time we spent out there in 2007 and our relationships with people out there in the Canadian church. An opportunity arose and after about a year of praying, discussion and organisation it’s finally happening.

What’s the most important thing about your faith and the journey you have been on while at Riverside?

God can and will use anybody no matter where you are in your walk with him, just be available.

Do you have a spiritual hero?

George Muller: “To learn strong faith is to endure great trials.
I have learned my faith by standing firm amid severe testings.”

Why is God calling you onwards?

We’re sure it’s not just about us! He is building His kingdom all over the world and He directs and uses people wherever and however he desires. Canada or Cannock, Birmingham or Bolivia—at the end of the day it’s all about building his kingdom wherever we are.

How can people keep in touch?

Come along to Riverside House on the 6th June at 7pm for an evening where we will explain more about what is happening. If you want to receive our newsletter contact Riverside House who’ll let us know.
