The worship ministry plays a vital role in the church, leading the people into
praise before God and providing a place for growth and ministry in the lives of
Christians in the church.
Musicians and singers are welcome to join the music team once they feel they have committed themselves to Riverside Church and
want to play an active part in serving the body of Christ. They must be committed Christians who are growing in their
personal relationship with God and seeking to be more like Christ in holiness and character. Being in a band involves attending
practices, being committed, arriving early to church for setup and having willingness to serve and submit to the band leader
and others in authority. Members
should be in positions of accountability in the church, particularly small groups (or MIFF/Roc Solid groups or Christian Union
small groups in college or university).
In worship we aim to be passionate and open to the leading of the Spirit. It is great to be blessed as a church with many
talented musicians, and we aim to train and raise up more from within the church over time. We meet monthly for praise and
prayer and also have periodic training events specifically for the worship ministry.
