Laura’s life was an exhausting cycle of debt making everyday life responsibilities feel impossible. Until she encountered Riverside Money Advice which gave her hope and a plan on how to start unraveling her harmful financial habits.

After a very busy December the staff enjoyed some rest before coming back to a busy flurry of activity! Clearing and sorting, preparing workshops and performances, drinking lots of tea and setting aside regular times for prayer and reflection have been on the agenda. As we think about the season we are in we look forward to new projects as well as building on relationships formed over many years. We are reminded of Gods incredible generosity and that when we trust God with what we have, He entrusts you with more. So we lean into God further this year, may we learn to release control and live with thankful hearts.

We trust in a God who cares deeply, is gracious and generous and goes with us whatever the storm. We just wanted to say how much we value our incredible supporters who have faithfully supported RPA in prayer and finances and ask you to pray with us as we continue to faithfully deliver projects and plan for this upcoming year.

August was full of summer fun, where RPA has been busy with summer clubs and activities around Birmingham. Read about The Raven’s Club, a summer club that promotes literacy for children, and about ReAct Xtra, a theatre performance club for young people!

July has been a non-stop blur it seems! From rehearsals of our Easter production ready to perform at our Church Big Weekend, to auditions for our new generations production 'Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' to final workshops in schools and two full on weeks of REACT!

This month, we reflect on a powerful season of ministry, featuring impactful digital healthy relationship workshops for Year 9 students and a heartwarming “Shine Like Saints” event at St. Philip’s Cathedral for Year 6 leavers. Plus, we celebrate our amazing volunteers, share prayer needs, and gear up for a fully-booked ReAct Summer.
